Mercy

God is merciful. If he wasn't, most of us would be in big trouble!

The Greek translation of mercy means " an outward manifestation of pity; it assumes need on the part of him who receives it, and the resources adequate to meet the need of the part of him who shows t."

If we have been wronged, we show mercy. If we give or forgive despite our grievances, we exhibit mercy. And if we understand those who are misunderstood, we are merciful.

Psalm 23 says that teamed with goodness, mercy shall follow believers all the days of their lives.

Thank you Lord for giving us better than we deserve.

“Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.”
Luke 6:36

“But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Long suffering and abundant in mercy and truth.”
Psalm 86:15

“So you, by the help of your God, return; Observe mercy and justice, And wait on your God continually.”
Hosea 12:6

“Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord—that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.”
James 5:11

“For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.”
Psalm 86:5

“He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly,
To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?”
Micah 6:8
