Tranquility

Tranquility

Let us make our gratitude and the yearnings of our hearts known to our Abba Father, leaning into Him and taking His yoke.

And may our Shepherd lead us by the Still Waters of peace and tranquility, as we trust His Will for us in Jesus Christ...the full manifestation of His love.

Psalm 23:2
"He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters..."

Hold on to His Precious Promises

Hold on to His Precious Promises

Dwell and meditate on His promises and write them on the tablet of your heart....partake and walk in the divine nature of God...be a true imitator of Christ.

Through these things, we hope of a glorious future...we walk without weariness...run the race of endurance...fight the good fight...and soar up on eagle's wings.

Take heart and trust in His Word, as God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow...He is faithful and He is watching over His Word to fulfill His Promises.

Be encouraged by this today and every day...allow nothing to steal your joy...maintain peace that surpasses all understanding...live an abundant, fruitful life of fearless freedom.

Glory to Abba Father God, for all of this is lovingly and carefully pledged and promised to us by Him.

2 Peter 3:9
"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."

Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."

"But all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm."

Fertile Heart

Father God,

Create in us a softened, clean, healed, whole heart...

A heart that is cultivated and fertile to receive Your Word and Truth...

A heart that is filled with the full measure of Your unconditional, merciful love and grace.

Weed out and remove the things that bind us and cause us to separate ourselves from You, Lord.

Plant Your seeds in the soil of our hearts, Father, and grow our roots deep...nourish and flourish us with Your Living Waters.

And let us bear an ever-increasing yield of fruits of The Spirit, according to Your Will for us in Jesus Christ.

May we all have ears that hear and a penetrable heart, for Your Glory...

In The Name of our Holy and Righteous Savior, Jesus Christ,

Amen.

All the present troubles, temptations and tears will be removed as The New Jerusalem will replace the former things, according to His timing and in fulfillment of His Word.

He has promised there will be no more sorrow, sin, affliction or idolatry...no more ill effects of the enemy and this sin-stained world.

The Essence of God

The Essence of God

If you want to know God...you have to get into His Word.

It is in His Word that He manifests His essence to us...Who He Is.

We cannot in our humanity ever completely comprehend all that He is, but His very heart and character is revealed to us in His Truth.

When we know Him, we know the truth regarding His love for us...we begin to trust in Who He Is and an intimate relationship with The Father is formed.

And through His Truth, Love, Grace and Mercy...just a remnant of Who He Is...we are sanctified and set free.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1)

"But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God." (1 Corinthians 2:10-12)

"Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place." (Ephesians 6:14)

"Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him." (Proverbs 30:5)

"For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth." (Psalm 33:4)

"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32)

The Highway

by Katie Armstrong

Has anyone ever said something that they wish they hadn't? Maybe something that was meant to hurt someone, control someone, make someone feel inferior, or to get revenge?

I have, many times. In fact, that used to be my "goto" solution and, if I was honest with myself, the way I felt about that person after I had "solved the problem" was never any different than before, even if I had succeeded.

"Listen and understand. What goes into someone's mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them." — Matthew 15:25 (NIV)

We've all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) Whatever has been done to you, I'm sure, if you're human, you've done to someone else — it just might've looked a little different.

Wrong, is wrong, no matter what "wrong" looks like.

In the name of Jesus, the exhausting cycle of hurt, anger, jealousy, and pointing fingers can end today.

Step out, and look up in faith as you walk on the high road of peace. Jesus says: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." — John 14:27 (NIV)

Through The Holy Spirit, let us discern and demolish all false knowledge that opposes The Gospel...

Freedom In The Name of Jesus

“Let love and faithfulness never leave you: bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.”
— Proverbs 3:3 (NIV)

When you hear about the things that please God, how do you respond?

Many will do one of two things:

Feel too much defeat and respond with a “why bother,” or make a bigger “todo” list of what they need to do to be “good” and “moral.”

God gives us wisdom and asks us to follow in her ways but, He never expects us to be able to carry out His wisdom on our own. In fact, we can’t. We will burn out and exhaust ourselves.

Our human nature is to rebel, to get mad at a wrong, to hate, to argue, to steal, to break promises and be unfaithful. No amount of trying and stuffing is going to get rid of the ugliness that can spur from that nature.

It’s His power that frees us.

His ways and His guidance are never to condemn or make us feel inadequate. They’re to point us to freedom in the name of Jesus.

Without His help, we’ll just exhaust ourselves trying. We’ll just mask what’s on the inside with “being the bigger person” or “doing what we know we should do.”

Choosing to be moral without the power of God, is choosing to be a slave for the rest of your life. You’ll constantly be burned out by your own efforts and fighting battles that are set to repeat.

God gives us His wisdom so that we may live life in abundance, but without His help, we will surely be overwhelmed by the very things we think are doing us the most good.

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28 (NASB)

A True Love Response

A True Love Response

As humans in a fallen world, it is inevitable that we will all face some form of rejection, abandonment, temptation and persecution in our lives.

But, we can take heart that God took human form as Jesus Christ, and was also rejected, abandoned, tempted and persecuted. He suffered in ways far beyond what any of us will ever face or comprehend. He alone completely knows and understands our pain and suffering.

All sin, and the wages of sin...of all mankind...rested on Him...alone.

Yet He loved and sacrificed...showed mercy, grace, forgiveness and compassion regardless of His circumstances.

To put on the attitude of Christ is to respond in love to those who persecute and spitefully use us...to forgive and pray for them, in spite of the struggle.

A Godly response...one rooted in His Truth and Grace, casts Light into the darkness...soothes the sting...removes the strongholds...binds up our wounds...and heals us with His Truth and Eternal Love.

"Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do..." (Luke 23:34)

"Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits." (Romans 12:14-16)

"Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." (Matthew 5:43-48)
