Joy Comes In The Morning

Joy Comes in the Morning

Take heart brethren, for no matter what temporary trials are troubling your heart today, it is in no comparison to the glorious paradise that awaits those who are in him.

Keep the faith...fight the good fight...give it to our Abba God...and readily receive His grace. For, His mercies are unending and everlasting! He will refresh, restore and strengthen you, according to His promises.

Be confident and unashamed, boldly approaching The Throne of Grace. And may incomprehensible, everlasting joy be yours every morning...forevermore!

Prayer for Righteousness in Christ

Father God,

We bow down before Your Throne and choose divine partnership with You today and every day.

We pray for Your pouring of The Holy Spirit into our willing hearts; that You ordain and anoint us with ongoing sanctification and transformation.

We pray for minds that comprehend and partake of Your immutable knowledge, and to receive this holy truth into yielding hearts.

Mold us and fill us, Father, so we can be a beacon of hope to others and lead them to Your sanctuary. Show us how to be co-laborers in the building of Your Kingdom, and may it come swiftly to this hurting world.

Continue your completion in us, Lord; bend, mold and hone us into the authentic being You created and designed in us long ago.

And may Your flame blaze brilliantly within us, Lord...so we will shine radiantly as the sun and stars in the heavens...for ever and ever...

In Jesus Christ's Name,

Amen.

Matthew 5:14
You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.

Delivered

Unfortunately, none of us has an automatic detour to prevent us from encountering valleys in our human journey. We live in a sin-stained world and there is no perfection on this side of Eternity. However, as believers, we have a choice not to wander in the wilderness. If we are walking with Jesus, we are never lost!

In these seasons that try our souls and test our faith, we must have hope and fix our gaze on the eternal prize that awaits us. Our faithful God of unlimited resources will enable us to navigate in perfect peace if we place unwavering faith in Him. God is ever-present and always offers us spiritual and emotional protection. God alone is our means of overcoming every temptation placed before us. He is our anchor, hope and comfort when we are faced with uncertainty, adversity and heartache.

And if we do get momentarily derailed, our Heavenly Father is waiting with welcoming arms for His prodigal children. He alone holds the power to remove bondage and restore us to the path of righteousness. Deliverance is just a prayer away, and we are never beyond the reach of our Shepherd.

Lord, we pray for Your deliverance in the wilderness of our momentary troubles, and that You will enable us to maintain the eternal compass of Jesus Christ. We trust You to stretch and bend us according to Your will, and lead us to Your peaceful and living waters. Our hope, faith, peace and rest is in You alone.

In The Name of Jesus, our Refuge, Redeemer and Deliverer,

Amen.

God Loved Us First

Our worth is decided by God and God alone...His appraisal of our value is the atoning sacrifice of His one and only Son, Jesus Christ.

God planned our existence before creation...loved us at our darkest and worked it together for our good to spend eternity with Him.

THERE IS NO GREATER LOVE THAN HIS!

And my soul knows it very well.

Antidote for Anxiety

Let us fix our eyes on our one true necessity...The Good Portion...that which cannot be shaken or taken.

Let us lay our burdens at His feet and listen to the whisper of His Word, receiving His Truth deep into our hearts.

And as we lean into Him and take His yoke instead, our worries of today will dissipate and disintegrate. For His burden is light and, as we come to know Him, we will receive His rest forevermore.

But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me." But the Lord answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her."

Transformation To Holiness

It is through the Power of The Cross and His Grace that we are redeemed...and it is through our redemption that God sets us apart, sanctifies us and makes us wholly holy unto Him, for HE IS HOLY!

Our transformation to holiness is ordained, anointed, and performed by God and His Truth and Word, as we walk with Him in obedience.

It is in this ongoing process of renewal and sanctification that our partnership with Him enables us to shed the former self...becoming holy and righteous by Him and through Him...according to His Will...for His Glory...forevermore.

Seeing The Struggle Through

“Never doubt in the dark what God told you in the light…..”
-V. Raymond Edman

God is always the same, and is always available to His children...at the tip top of the mountain, or the darkest of valleys, His love for us never changes.

It is in the season when we don't feel as close to Him that we have to step out in faith...trust Him to sustain us to see the struggle through...cling to His Truth and Promises...praise Him for His blessings of grace and salvation...and recall the lighted path He has placed our feet upon.

We must see these drought seasons as an opportunity to be still, give Him the battle and trust in what He is doing...as He enables us to reclaim our joy and moves us from faith to faith...in the glory of our salvation in Him.

Psalm 9:14
That I may tell of all Your praises, that in the gates of the daughter of Zion I may rejoice in Your salvation.

Psalm 13:5
But I have trusted in Your lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.

Psalm 54:4
Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is the sustainer of my soul.

Romans 8:26
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how we ought to pray, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words.

Mark 14:36
"'
Abba, Father,'"He said, "all things are possible for You. Take this cup from Me. Yet not what I will, but what You will."

Romans 8:15
For you did not receive a spirit of slavery that returns you to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father!"

Romans 8:16
The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.

Psalm 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

John 17:24
Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, that they may see the glory You gave Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

1 John 3:2
Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is.

A Contrite Heart

Blessed are those who mourn with Godly sorrow...who have a contrite, humble heart and revere The Word of The Lord...for, to them comes repentance that leads to salvation.

The Lord looks to them...they receive forgiveness and and are promised comfort and cleansing through the indwelling of The Holy Spirit.

They know Jesus Christ as The Savior for their sin and confidently approach The Throne of Grace without shame, fear or regret. They are reconciled unto God The Father, and their heart is filled with joy and peace; they receive rest and have a personal relationship with Jesus.

Blessed are those indeed who mourn and have repented...they are forgiven and hidden in Christ...for them there is no condemnation and they will dwell in The House of The Lord forever.

2 Corinthians 7:10
For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Isaiah 66:2
For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Depression

Have you ever been in a dark house that was not familiar? Perhaps you were visiting a friend or relative and had to get up in the night to go to the bathroom. You find yourself stumbling, bumping into furniture and walls. You don’t know the way through the darkness.

When you get there and flip on the light, everything becomes clearer.  You remember that the dresser is situated just next to the door and you can see again that the countertop juts out a bit farther in the one spot.

Depression is like this. When you come through to the other side – and you will, with help, and with time – things will seem clearer. Right now, when your life feels shrouded in darkness, simply trust in the dark what you have seen in the Light. Hold on to Jesus. Hold on to Hope.

Lord,

I’ve been here before….depressed. I now that last time there came a brighter day. You lifted me out of the pit.

You took away the veil and revealed joy again…slowly at first, and then one day I could hardly remember the depressed state I had walked in for so long.

Bless me with recovery again. Heal my mind and heart.

In Jesus, Name, Amen.

Patience and Perseverance

Perseverance and patience are virtues that we may not willingly welcome into our spiritual transformation. In order for our character to be honed with these, it means we must face difficulties and hardships. These often occur in clusters, sometimes resulting in whole seasons of despair.

We grow weary and worn from the battle, and sometimes feel as though we cannot possibly proceed another day in this way. We feel frustrated, even angry, and may begin to believe that God is far away and doesn't hear our pleas for mercy.

While these seasons can be tremendously difficult to endure, we must not lose hope. Perhaps the outcome is irrelevant, because the lesson lies in the process of moving through the mountain. Thus, we can pray for God to remove our obsession with the problem and expel our own expectations of acceptable solutions; acknowledge that He alone is on The Throne, has the absolute answers and is equipped for the battle. We can ask the Teacher to reveal what He would have us learn in these trials; pray for Him to strengthen our resolve while we wait upon Him. We can carelessly continue to claw forward, or we can allow Him to carry us; pray for His comfort, rest in His embrace and ask that He pour His refreshment into us. We should reconcile the situation in ourselves; accept His portion, provision, help and healing. We must pray persistently for the fulfillment of His promises over our lives; claim victory with confidence and in Christ's Name.

But most of all, we must persist in our hope and trust in The Lord. We must pray for patience and perseverance, regardless of how we "feel" and get real with ourselves and God in our prayers. He already knows about yesterday, today and tomorrow. He is intimately acquainted with our weaknesses and the struggles we face. He knows the best possible outcome for every problem. He has already designed all the ways He intends to shape us. Regardless of the cause of the issue, He can tailor it to a useful and beautiful benefit for His purpose.

And when He deems it time to prevail and we have our blessed breakthrough, we can reflect on all of the marvelous miracles we are able to see in our hindsight. We must praise Him for sustaining us with His righteous hand...for increasing our faith...for fulfilling His promises...and for maturating our character with spiritual patience and perseverance.

Hebrews 10:36
You need to persevere, so that after you have done God's will, you will receive what He has promised.

Romans 12:12
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, persistent in prayer.

Luke 21:19
By your patient endurance, you will gain your souls.

Romans 2:7
To those who by perseverance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, He will give eternal life.

Hebrews 12:1
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with endurance the race set out for us.

Romans 5:3-4
Not only that, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Romans 8:37
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

1 Corinthians 15:57
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!

Thy Will Be Done

If God brings you to something, He has already ordained and anointed you with what you need in order to accomplish His will.

He has already blessed you with the promise of His presence. He will not allow you to proceed alone. Partner with Him...trust Him...be courageous and receive His provision. The power of The Cross resides within you through the indwelling of The Holy Spirit!

Remember all that The Lord has done for you: He has, after all, delivered you eternally from the bondage of sin! He has eternal, unlimited resources...He does not make false, empty promises...and He will see His command through to completion. Nothing can come against Him!

Do not receive any whispers except those of The Holy Spirit. Any fear, doubt or negativity is not from God. Bring any uncertainty to The Throne of Grace for exchange. Lean into Him and stand on His Word. Ask The Lord to speak to your heart...to show you how He has anointed and equipped you...and how to stay the course on His authentic path.

Stay strong in Christ. Have faith in the Creator of the heavens and Earth, and the Author of humanity...be blessed and be a blessing in The Name of The Lord, according to His will!

Jesus Wept

Some of the most powerful healing can come through the most painful of circumstances. One of those extremely painful circumstances is grief but need not look further than Jesus and His word for healing.

Mary was distraught and beside herself with grief when Lazarus had passed away. But what she did was not run and yell at Jesus, not turn away from Him, not call Him names or question Him. No, she ran and fell at His feet grieving and sobbing. Humbly at His feet He met her. Jesus wept. Jesus wept the tears with her, He groaned and sobbed the same pain and from here the healing took place. He gave her the only thing that could heal her-His Comfort, His Love and His promises!

“Jesus said to her, Did I not tell you and promise you that if you would believe and rely on Me, you would see the glory of God?” (John 11:40)

And one of the most profound miracles recorded happened!

Weep at the feet of Jesus...here lays the comfort, love, healing and promise of hope that with His tears will wash away grief.

"Surely He has borne our grief and carried our sorrows. Isaih 53:4

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Psalm 147:3

"Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise." Jeremiah 17:14

"He has made all things beautiful in His time." Ecclesiastes 3:11

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4

Acknowledge Him

Holy Heavenly Father,

We praise You that You are faithful and true, even when we are not....that Your power is perfectly strong when we are weak...that Your Grace fills in the gap when we inevitably fall short in our humanity.

Lead us, Lord, on Your steadfast path of righteousness and uphold us with Your holy hand.

Give us discerning ears that hear only the whisper of The Holy Spirit; create in us a willing, humble and clean heart.

Armor us up in The Name of Jesus; give us strength of endurance to do Your perfect and pleasing will.

All glory, honor and praise to You, Abba, today and every day!

We pray these things in Jesus Christ's Holy and Righteous Name,

Amen.

the righteous walk in them,
but the rebellious stumble in them.

But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.

The Bread of Life

Let us praise our Heavenly Father for feeding us the eternal manna of Jesus Christ, that we may be spiritually enlightened, strengthened, supported and fulfilled all the days of our lives.

Let us be ever hopeful that, whether we are facing the famine in the wilderness or the valley of temptation, The Word of God prevails. His Truth is our soul's food.

May we always be hungry for Truth; feast on and rejoice in The Bread of Life, forevermore...

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4)

He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. (Deuteronomy 8:3)

And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. (John 6:35)

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4)

He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. (Psalm 111:5)

Gathering Strength From Grace

When we are faced with calamity and chose to walk in The Spirit, God's magnificent grace becomes the source of our strength.

By receiving His grace and believing the beloved blood of The Lamb preserves us, we are able to maintain perfect peace while The Lord acts on our behalf.

And if our supremely great, almighty, all-powerful and all-omniscient God is with us, what can possibly prevail against us?

2 Corinthians 12:10
That is why, for the sake of Christ, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Romans 8:31
What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Psalm 46:10
"Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

Psalm 118:6
The LORD is for me; I will not fear; What can man do to me?

Isaiah 26:3
The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You.
