It Is Who You Are

It is Who You Are

It changes everything when you understand who you truthfully are. Not who the world says you are, but rather who God says you are: thoughtfully and carefully crafted, valued and loved, intended for eternal life in the image of your Maker.

Moses writes, “God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” (Genesis 1:27)

Lest we should miss the point, the word “created” is repeated three times in reference to the man and woman. God wants us to understand He created us; we were not the result of random chance. (James Trent)

Matthew 19:4
Jesus answered, "Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female."

Ephesians 4:24
and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Colossians 3:10
and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its creator.

Genesis 5:1
This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day when God created man, He made him in the likeness of God.

Deuteronomy 4:32
Indeed, ask now concerning the former days which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and inquire from one end of the heavens to the other. Has anything been done like this great thing, or has anything been heard like it?

A True Love Response

As humans in a fallen world, it is inevitable that we will all face some form of rejection, abandonment, temptation and persecution in our lives.

But, we can take heart that God took human form as Jesus Christ and was also rejected, abandoned and persecuted. He suffered in ways far beyond what any of us will ever face or can possibly comprehend. He alone completely knows and understands our pain and suffering.

All the sin for all mankind...rested on Him...alone.

Yet, He loved and sacrificed...showed mercy, grace, forgiveness and compassion regardless of His circumstances.

To put on the attitude of Christ is to respond in love to those who persecute and spitefully use us...to forgive and pray for them, in spite of the struggle.

A Godly response...one rooted in His Truth and Grace casts Light into the darkness...soothes the sting...removes the strongholds...binds up our wounds...and heals us with His Truth and Eternal Love.

Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do...(Luke 23:34)

Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. (Romans 12:14-16)

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. (Matthew 5:43-48)

Assured

AHoly Heavenly Father,

We praise You that You are faithful and true, even when we are not....that Your power is perfectly strong when we are weak...that Your Grace fills in the gap when we inevitably fall short in our humanity.

Lead us, Lord, on Your steadfast path of righteousness and uphold us with Your holy hand.

Give us discerning ears that hear only the whisper of The Holy Spirit; create in us a willing, humble and clean heart.

Armor us up in The Name of Jesus; give us strength of endurance to do Your perfect and pleasing will.

All glory, honor and praise to You, Abba, today and every day!

We pray these things in Jesus Christ's Holy and Righteous Name,

Amen.

Hosea 14:9
Who is wise? Let them realize these things.
Who is discerning? Let them understand.
The ways of the Lord are right;
the righteous walk in them,
but the rebellious stumble in them.

The Good Shepherd

He knows His sheep and we hearken to His voice.

He goes before us and carefully prepares the way; we follow Him, as He is the way, truth and life.

He is the restorer of our soul; the keeper of The Holy Spirit.

He carries us close to Him when we are broken; He mends, heals and reveals to us who we are in Him.

He laid down His life for His flock; we shall not want for eternity.

The Lord is our Good Shepherd...

John 10:14
I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me.

1 Corinthians 8:3
But whoever loves God is known by God.

John 10:4
When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.

Isaiah 40:11
He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.

1 Peter 2:25
For "you were like sheep going astray," but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls."

John 10:11
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

Psalm 23:1
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.

Rest In Jesus

When we receive Jesus as our Savior, one of the first experiences we have is deep peace. Having surrendered, we are no longer fighting against God.

Our Heavenly Father wants to give us peace and rest from the storms of life. Yet, how few of God’s people really know and experience that perfect peace that passes all understanding.

Maybe it’s because we don’t believe His promise. Like the children of Israel, we let the Giants in life keep us from taking all that God wants to give us.

Many of you are still in the wilderness; you still struggle with the flesh, and you're not gaining ground or conquering anything. You are not walking in victory.

That may be because, in our unbelief, we don’t trust Him to do the things He promised He would do. God is saying, “You have been in the wilderness long enough. It's time to move into the Promised Land. It is time to go in and conquer the land.”

Take the victories that God has for you and begin to experience the richness and the fullness of life in Jesus Christ. Experience His rest.

Living In His Image

Let us live a life that truly reflects our transformation in Christ and the essence of our Father God, whose image we were created in...

A life that is full of love, grace, peace, mercy, forgiveness, joy and freedom.

A lighted life that clearly indicates to others that there IS a Redeemer and a Savior...a real reason for hope in this shattered, decaying world.

May we live in a way that gives weight to our testimony and shows the regenerating power of The Holy Spirit.

May the unbelievers...the broken children of God...see His light as a roaring fire within us and find their way home to their Abba Father...and join us in Eternity.

2 Corinthians 4:4
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

1 John 1:5-6
But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Child of The Living God

Take a moment to truly reflect on what God has done for you...

Contemplate the complexity and perfection of His divine purpose; how He lovingly and deliberately chose to include you in His plan.

Receive the truth in your innermost being that long ago, before Elohim created the heavens and earth, He formed you in His mind. Praise Him for intricately planning your existence, identity and holy inheritance; that He dwelled on Earth in human form, sacrificed Himself, and was risen on the third day...so you could glorify and join Him for eternity!

No matter what your circumstances, He never changes. He is true to His promises; His plan is revealed and His purpose will be fulfilled. And He lavishes you with the greatest, most glorious Gift ever unwrapped...The Mystery of Jesus Christ! That you may be filled with The Holy Spirit and are called precious child of The Living God!

1 John 3:1
Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.

to whom God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

I pray that out of the riches of His glory, He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being,

John 1:12
But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God--

Romans 8:14
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Never Broken!

As believers, the treasury of God's Word and the indwelling of The Holy Spirit enables us to endure the valleys of life with unshakeable confidence and peace.

Just as Paul, we know that regardless of the hardships we may face in this world, we will rise up and endure. We are sustained by the omniscient source of our faith and the power of His grace.

Take heart, for He who is in us is greater than anything in this world! (1 John 4:4)

God Is Bigger

God Is Bigger

What giants are you facing today?

Would it make any difference if you just stopped...got still with God...and considered that your conflict is not against flesh or things seen, but against spiritual wickedness in high places?

Would you get on your knees in obedience...align your will with His...and surrender it to The LORD of Hosts, Jehovah-Sabaoth?

Why place your faith or trust in something less than the All-seeing, All-knowing, Almighty Creator? Why take on the battle without The Lord when there is so much power in His Name alone?

Do not fear. Do not be dismayed or discouraged. Stand firm in your faith at the feet of Jesus. He is always with you and will NEVER leave or forsake you!

HE IS RULER OVER ALL principalities and powers, seen and unseen. He is bigger than any giants we will ever face. And the battle belongs to Him!

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

We pray that you will adorn and clothe us with love, courage and strength so we may spread the glorious news of The Gospel of Jesus Christ...that others may also find Him in The Mystery...and through Him, also be forever redeemed.

Heart Healing

Heart Healing

May The True Physician perform His surgery on our souls, apply His balm to our weeping wounds and cleanse our condition with the purifying power of His Holy Spirit.

Divine Unerstanding

Divine Understanding

May The Lord captivate our minds and pour His Holy Spirit into our hearts, so that we might have Divine understanding.

Unveiled and Mirroring God

God Is Love

God is the author and originator of love. HE IS LOVE. It is because of His love that we exist and are also able to love.

There is absolutely nothing that can alter The Father's pure, authentic, unconditional love for His precious children. He will never leave or forsake us. His love cannot be earned; the debt has already been paid in full. His love is based on Who He is, not who we are or what we do or think.

Choose His love. It is a holy, perfect, perpetual gift that guarantees grace and freedom. And it can be unwrapped every day...for eternity.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

He Is Our Help

What a magnificent and comforting truth it is to know the Creator of ALL things, seen and unseen, loves each one of us specifically and individually...and cares enough to give and fulfill His promises to us.

Irrevocable Love

Praise God that His grace, mercy, promises, love, forgiveness, redemption and salvation are never ending and unchanging.

Take heart that no matter what circumstances you find yourself in today, our God is mightier. He knows all about yesterday, today and tomorrow. He has gone before you and prepared a way, according to His predestined purpose, because He loves you.

His love for you is pure, passionate, promised and predestined. And, there is absolutely nothing that you can do to alter His love for you. For His gifts and His call are irrevocable...

Think On These Things

It can be difficult in our humanity to rid ourselves of the clutter in our thoughts. Circumstances and situations can evoke emotions within us that can be difficult to cope with and lead to unholy thought processes.

It takes an active, conscious effort to partner with God in the valleys...to bring every thought captive to the obedience of Him...to think, practice and dwell on truth and that which is holy and pleasing unto God.

But, when we make the Godly choice...when we are obedient...He is faithful to bless us with His enduring peace...as we think on these things.

Philippians 4:8-9
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ...

Romans 14:18
For whoever serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.

Philippians 4:7
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

No Greater Love Than His

No Greater Love than His

Our worth is decided by God and God alone...His appraisal of our value is the atoning sacrifice of His one and only Son, Jesus Christ.

God planned our existence before creation...loved us at our darkest and worked it together for our good to spend eternity with Him.

THERE IS NO GREATER LOVE THAN HIS!

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.

1 John 4:10
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Psalm 139:13-14
For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.

Worthy To Be Praised

Heavenly Father,

We know we cannot possibly fathom all that You are or all You have done...but we sing praises to You, Lord...for You have set Eternity in our hearts.

Your greatness is immeasurable, yet You created us in Your image and ordained us to be reconciled unto You, Lord God; we praise You for this marvelous mystery and miracle.

We pray You will adorn us with Your robe of righteousness, Lord; we praise You for clothing us in Your garment of salvation.

For, all great and mighty things are by Your hand, Father, and all is made beautiful in Your time...and all the glory, praise and honor is Yours forever and ever!

In The Holy and Righteous Name of Jesus Christ,

Amen!
