Green Pastures
Green Pastures
The Lord is the same yesterday, today and forever...He is faithful to those who serve Him and calls us each by name...
The Lord nestles His precious sheep close to His heart...He carries us through the darkest of valleys and sustains us in every way...

In the Light of Jesus
In the Light of Jesus
May The Lord shine His face and countenance upon us...expose and drive out any darkness in remote and hidden areas of our hearts, as we live a life of transparency before God...
May His Holy Spirit burn brightly for all to see what He has accomplished within us, all for the glory of our Holy and Heavenly Father...
And may we be true imitators of Christ, walking steadfastly in truth and love...the lighted path of our Lord and Savior.

Mercy Over Sacrifice
Mercy Over Sacrifice
(By Katie Armstrong)
"If you had known what these words mean, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent.”
— Matthew 12:7 (NIV)
“But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
— Matthew 9:13 (NIV)
God desires humbleness, submission, compassion, right action, just behavior, all stemming from an authenticity — the condition of the heart.
Without heart, all that’s left is sacrifice, and Jesus didn’t come for sacrifice — He was the sacrifice — He came for the heart.
A person who sees their own wrong, they see that they’re a sinner. If that person is you, look up and be blessed.
“For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Your heart searches for mercy, and if you accept, God is there to give you grace.
“On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
— Mark 2:17 (NIV)
“For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.”
— Hosea 6:6 (NIV)

The Lord Surrounds and Strengthens His People
The Lord Surrounds and Strengthens His People...
May The Lord surround and fill us with His Holy Spirit, according to His merciful and faithful promises...
May His power rest on us and be made perfect in our weaknesses, according to His omniscient might, and all for the richness of His glory...
And may we never be shaken in our trust and faith in Him, as He completes the good and gracious work He designed and began in us long ago.
"You have enclosed me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me."
~Psalm 139:5
"The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace."
~Psalm 29:11

~2 Corinthians 12:9
"I pray that out of the riches of His glory, He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being,"
~Ephesians 3:16
..."being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have full endurance and patience, and joyfully"...
~Colossians 1:11
"I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, that He considered me faithful and appointed me to service."
~1 Timothy 1:12

~Philippians 4:13
"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:"
~Philippians 1:6
"He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved."
~Psalm 62:2

The Way of The Righteous
"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."
~Psalm 1:1-3
"Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit."
~Jeremiah 17:7-8

Armored Up!
Brethren,
We must be armored up and ever-vigilant in our prayers for discernment of truth. There is a war waging around us today and every day...the enemy is cunning and disguises himself well. Satan can make darkness look delicious and deception is his game.
The prince of darkness is searching for souls to accompany him in eternal death. He will do anything to impeach the Truth of The Lord of hosts in the hearts of men. He disguises himself well, and is always looking for the tiniest of compromises in order to gain a foothold...a way in to create chaos, doubt and confusion...IN ANY FORM that is effective, in order to achieve his ghastly goal.
Be watchful...turn from temptation, and seek truth. If it doesn't align with The Word, then it simply isn't from God. He has given us what we need, and our Protector is always a prayer away...there is power in The Name of Our Savior, Jesus Christ!
Beware of your enemy...but trust your mighty and powerful God, the only author of Truth and Light.
"It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve." (2 Corinthians 11:15)
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world's darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." (Ephesians 6:12)
"He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of His beloved Son," (Colossians 1:13)
"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." (Ephesians 6:10-11)
"Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—" (Ephesians 6:14-18)
"Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you."
"Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth." (Psalm 124:8)
"Then we will no longer be infants, tossed about by the waves and carried around by every wind of teaching and by the clever cunning of men in their deceitful scheming." (Ephesians 4:14)
"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds," (2 Corinthians 10:4)

Holy Spirit Led Hands
Holy Spirit Led Hands
Let us pray for Divine Instruction to permeate and guide our minds...the beautiful intercession of Jesus Christ to gracefully fill our hearts...hands that are blessed and led by The Holy Spirit...a whole self producing holy fruit of The Vine for The Glory and Kingdom of our Father God.
"'I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.'" (John 15:15)
"And He told them, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest.'" (Luke 10:2)
"Finally, brothers, we ask and encourage you in the Lord Jesus to live in a way that is pleasing to God, as you have received from us. This is how you already live, so you should do so all the more." (1 Thessalonians 4:1)
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." (Matthew 6:33)

From Faith to Faith
From Faith to Faith
Faith is not a feeling or emotion and often defies all human logic or reasoning. But, through faith, we gain understanding and Everlasting Truth.
Faith is choosing to take God at His Word....though unseen, the evidence of God and what He accomplishes through His command is all around us.
When we chose to take Him at His Word, we need to get into The Word...bring God into the situation and align our emotions with His Truth.
Having faith in Him and trusting His Truth brings an unchanging, unwavering, unlimited resource and reality into our circumstances.
When we choose to walk in faith and are obedient to The Will of God, we have created a partnership with an unmatched Leader and Lord over all, who loves us and longs for our good...who created us in His image...desires to transform us and bring us from faith to faith...from glory to glory.
Let us walk in obedient faith and be blessed by His reward for our devotion...for our Father is faithful...and a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
"The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever.” (Isaiah 40:8)
"But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you." (1 Peter 1:25)
"For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth." (Psalm 33:4)
"By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible." (Hebrews 11:3)
"By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going." (Hebrews 11:8)
"Therefore I did not even think myself worthy to come to You. But say the word, and my servant will be healed." (Luke 7:7)
"Jesus said to her, 'Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?'" (John 11:40)
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1)
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." (Hebrews 11:6)

Jesus in Us
Jesus in Us
Let us forever place our unwavering and unabashed hope, faith and trust in Abba God...never ashamed before men that our wholehearted confidence is in Him alone...
Let us be a lighted example of His love and mercy...and as we stand with confident transparency before God, may others see Jesus in us and be drawn also to The Throne of Grace...and share in the abundant life in Christ.
All praise, glory and honor to God The Father, for He is the Light and Lamp to our feet...our Refuge and Strong Tower of Strength...through Him, all things are possible, according to His Will for us in Jesus Christ!
"The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold." (Psalm 18:2)
"Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 10:32)
"You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father." (Matthew 5:14-16)
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." (Philippians 4:13)

Send Me!
Send Me!
As our all-seeing and all-knowing Heavenly Father searches the hearts of men, may His gaze rest on us...
May He find in us a willing, steadfast and true heart...
When it looks like an possible situation...when the seas are rough or the valley is deep...let us have unshakeable faith that, even in what seems to be the impossible, our All-Sovereign God can and will, according to His purpose.
Let us be courageous and bold....step out in faith and say to Him, "here I am, send me!" For, God has no bounds and performs exciting, extraordinary things with willing, ordinary people...
As God equips us to carry out His calling, may our faith, trust and hope in Him be ever-increasing in the Presence of The One Who gave it all.
And to God is all The Glory!
"For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him..." (Chronicles 16:9a)
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:10)
"Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months." (James 5:17)
"Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." (Hebrews 13:21)

He is Able
Nothing encourages a weary heart like the pure, undefiled word of the
Living God. If you are struggling and weary brothers and sisters in
Christ fall back on what you know....HE IS ABLE!
I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able....
Able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.
I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able....
Able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.
Able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all
sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
Able to aid those who are tempted.
Able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
Able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.
Able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.
Who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself?
"Do you believe that I am able to do this? They said to Him, "Yes, Lord." According to your faith let it be to you.
2 Tim. 1:12; Eph. 3:2;, 2 Cor. 9:8; Heb 2:18; Heb. 7:25; Jude 24; 2 Tim. 1:12; Phil. 3:21; Matt. 9:28-29

One With The Son
This passage overwhelmed me with excitement this morning…
Jesus says to the Father:
“I glorified You on the earth, having accomplished the work which You have given Me to do. Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.”
— John 17:4-5 (NASB)
Jesus says to the Father:
“I glorified You on the earth, having accomplished the work which You have given Me to do. Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.”
— John 17:4-5 (NASB)
And it excites me because God says:
“For those whom He foreknew [that means us!], He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined [again, that’s us!], He also called; and these whom He called [us], He also justified; and these whom He justified [us], He also glorified.”
— Romans 8:29-30 (NASB)
Why does this excite me?
Those first words spoken, John 17:4-5, were spoken to the Father, by Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Jesus knew that His life would soon pass and He was praying, ready to go to the Father, in confidence that His purpose would be complete.
As Christians, what we are doing now with our lives will give us that same confidence before our Father and, the best part, just like Jesus, we too will be glorified, just as Romans 8:29 says.
Think about it, Christian family, if Jesus prayed those words to the Father, how amazing is it that we, too, are given a purpose that will lead us into the same prayer that Jesus, Himself, spoke to the Father?!
If you meditate on that, and really allow the moment Jesus had with His father to sink in as a moment you, too, can have with the Father, you might see a new depth — a deeper, more tangible relationship between you and your Heavenly Father.
We, too, will be glorified upon fulfilling our purpose!
Thank you, Jesus, for leading the way.
Jesus says to the Father, about us:
“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one…”
— John 17:22 (NASB)
“For those whom He foreknew [that means us!], He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined [again, that’s us!], He also called; and these whom He called [us], He also justified; and these whom He justified [us], He also glorified.”

You Are Royalty
Most people yearn to be accepted by others, but we were not meant to
fit in. As children of the living God, we were made to stand out. Not
to draw attention to ourselves, but to live the kind of life that brings
glory and draws others to Him.
It is our choices that we make every day that paves the way to life. God will not force us to do anything. He has given us free will to walk closely with Him or walk away from Him. We are royalty – sons and daughters of our Father the King. We can put our crown on at any time and let others know that we belong to Him.

We are royalty – sons and daughters of our Father the King. We can put our crown on at any time and let others know that we belong to Him.
We have a royal call on our lives. God’s Word declares it. We need to
remember that we wear the crown of everlasting life, and through us, He
can do abundantly more than we could ever image.
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:91 Peter 2:9
"Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with Him; if we endure, we will also reign with Him."

Be My Light To The World Today
I stepped into darkness so you would shine for Me. Did you know that
I have empowered you to light up the lives of everyone around you?
You are my light to the world. So walk with Me, and let Me illumine your life today with My love and power.
You are my light to the world. So walk with Me, and let Me illumine your life today with My love and power.
Look to Me, and I will make you the bright spot in someone's darkness today.
Don't hide your light beneath your uncertainties and insecurities. Spend more time with Me and I will make you glow with a godliness that's irresistible.
If you will let Me, I'll make you shine in such a way that you will be My star that points to heaven and brings hope to the hurting.
""Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you."
Isaiah 60:1
"Let your light so shine before men that they can see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."
Mathew 5:16
"And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
