Powerful Message On Forgiveness

Our Christian faith is rooted in the beautiful gift of forgiveness, first receiving it then offering it to others. Ephesians 4:32 exhorts us to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave us. Mathew  6:14-16 goes a step further, it mandates us to forgive others their trespasses or our heavenly Father will not forgive us our trespasses.  Forgiveness is profoundly difficult and for some next to impossible. It's one of the hardest things we are asked to do as believers so we have been taught that we must choose to forgive even when we don't feel like it.

Sadly many Christians don't know how to forgive or worse they walk around believing that they have forgiven, but their behaviors decry the truth of the bitterness, anger and resentments that they continue to harbor causing them to live with chains around their souls never truly experiencing freedom. That's because, beyond the act or violation that people may have committed against us, there was a  message sent into our hearts that caused us to believe lies about ourselves and others. So it's important to process the nature of the message to replace the lie with the truth and grieve what was lost to be able to forgive fully and release the hurts into the hands of our loving Father who promises to heal our broken hearts and bind up our wounds.

In my opinion, no one captures the message of forgiveness so profoundly as Sy Rogers. He is a world renown public speaker who has encountered the heart of God. Coming from a history of abuse, defilement, and homosexuality, this man has personally experienced first hand the power of the living God to change hearts and restore lives.  Through his pain and restoration came a global ministry where God uses him mightily to offer the message of hope, healing, restoration and redemption through the power of the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

Take time to listen to his message and testimony. You will be blessed.
