Beloved, take heart. Nothing slips through God’s hands of
love. He holds the world in the palms of His hands. He knows all things. He
changes the seasons and guides history. He raises up kings and brings them down
(Daniel 2:21) to accomplish His purposes. He is light, and in Him, there is no
darkness. The truth is – that light shines brightest in the darkness. Let us
use this opportunity to regroup, refocus and look up. Never forgetting that God
is still sovereign, still good, and still working things out for good. Christian,
we are not of this world. We are citizens of heaven, and our KING IS COMING
BACK SOON!
We live in a lost and dying world that desperately needs the
light of Jesus. Now is the perfect time to remember The Great Commission and
proclaim the good news of The Gospel and the living hope we have in Jesus.
If you are feeling discouraged today and distraught over
injustices, take comfort in Psalm 27, Psalm 121, and The Book of Habakkuk. We
serve a fiercely loving and just God.
Thomas Jefferson wrote, “Indeed I tremble for my country
when I reflect that God is just.” Truer words were never spoken. God is on the
throne, brethren. He’s got this!
So yes! This is the day that The Lord has made. I will
rejoice and be glad in it.
