The Author of Peace

God brings order out of chaos, even the chaos we create ourselves.

If there is conflict and confusion in your life today and you lack peace, chances are you are looking at the relationship, situation, or problem through the eyes of the world. Doing so brings about impatience, disorder, and anxiety, which can cause us to lash out unlovingly at others.

But when you shift your focus through God’s lens, His peace begins to reign in your heart. God is able to help you respond to others in love, patience, and forgiveness; thus, maintaining peace with those around you. It’s your choice – you can live in confusion or chaos, or you can live a life marked by peace.

Proverbs 16:7

When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 16:33

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

Philippians 4:6-7  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Blessed Are Those Who Mourn

Blessed are those who mourn with Godly sorrow...who have a contrite, humble heart and revere The Word of The Lord...for, to them comes repentance that leads to salvation.

The Lord looks to them...they receive forgiveness and and are promised comfort and cleansing through the indwelling of The Holy Spirit.

They know Jesus Christ as The Savior for their sin and confidently approach The Throne of Grace without shame, fear or regret. They are reconciled unto God The Father, and their heart is filled with joy and peace; they receive rest and have a personal relationship with Jesus.

Blessed are those indeed who mourn and have repented...they are forgiven and hidden in Christ...for them there is no condemnation and they will dwell in The House of The Lord forever.

2 Corinthians 7:10

For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Isaiah 66:2

For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

Romans 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 5:21For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Only the Love of God Satisfies

The greatest human need is for love. It’s a legitimate need placed in us by our creator. When this need is not met, it can create a void so deep we go through life trying to fill it. It causes us to crave the approval and acceptance of others and drives us to engage in imbalanced relationships where we attach to unhealthy, emotionally unavailable people who often abuse and mistreat us. We will often compromise our morals, values, and beliefs for fear of losing them. This creates a vicious cycle of feeling used, devalued, unappreciated, victimized opening the door to bitterness, resentments, unforgiveness, and hopelessness.

The only way to stop the cycle is to get a healthy dose of real love – the love of Jesus. Love seeks the highest good for another. Our Savior demonstrated His perfect love for us at the cross. We will never be able to engage in healthy relationships unless we receive the fullness of God’s love. Only His love satisfies.

If you are desperately seeking the love and approval of those who continually hurt you it may be a sign that you have not encountered the Love of Jesus in your heart where you see yourself as He sees you – A precious child of the Living God. When you remove barriers that hinder the ability to live in the fullness of His love for you, it will radically change the people you attract and allow close to your heart. You will desire to engage in relationships that honor God, bless you and seek the highest good for others.

Prayer Warrior

Battles are fought and won on our knees. Through prayer, the door to Heaven’s Throne Room opens and a supernatural, all-powerful response is elicited from The Lord of Hosts. Thus, we gain access to the spiritual realm and power over our enemy and his strongholds.

Pray as a confident warrior, suited up in all your spiritual armor! Engage the enemy with all the authority God has assigned to you through Jesus! Align your thoughts, will, and emotions with The One who created all things seen and unseen. Pray without ceasing and remain steadfast in faith and Truth. Remain patient as The Lord works on your behalf - He has already blessed and protected you in ways you cannot fathom. Draw upon His power and strength! Praise Him and claim the victory in The Name of Jesus!

Brethren, we are called to walk victoriously as confident conquerors in Christ! Stay vigilant, watchful, and close to The Lord. Although we may be subject to attacks, the war is won, and the power of the enemy has already been demolished through the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Hallelujah!

1 Thessalonians 5:17

pray without ceasing

Psalm 116:2

Because He has inclined His ear to me,

Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.

Ephesians 3:14-15

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

1 John 5:14

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

Mark 11:24

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Psalm 145:18

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,

To all who call upon Him in truth.

1 John 4:4

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Deuteronomy 3:22

You must not fear them, for the Lord your God Himself fights for you.

John 16:33

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Anecdote for Anxiety

It's amazing how one, simple verse, rings so true in many of our lives. Anxiety isn't something that we're meant to carry. If we're burdened by it, it's a red flag that there is a deeper issue going on in our hearts... an issue deeper than our situation.

We all have anxiety to some extent, and it's nothing to be ashamed of, but the difference between each of us is how we have been taught to handle that anxiety.

Some of us act, and react, out of what our experiences have taught us to do, and the rest of us, out of what God tells us to do.

God is freedom. Jesus is freedom! He is THE designer of our hearts and he knows how to deliver each of them from anxiety. God's way takes us higher, our way takes us lower.

If you're feeling the burden of anxiety, or are even in depression from living with anxiety, there is hope. God is a "good word" and He can make you glad again... it's just going to take your surrender.

Announce to God that this world hasn't given you any relief, and that, you are ready to try it His way. Then, hold out your hands and allow him to take your fear and anxiousness upon Himself, exchanging your burdens, for His love.

God is "a good word." Grab a Bible, and start to receive.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28 (NIV)

Weep At The Feet of Jesus

Some of the most powerful healing can come through the most painful of circumstances. One of those extremely painful circumstances is grief but need not look further than Jesus and His word for healing.

Mary was distraught and beside herself with grief when Lazarus had passed away. But what she did was not run and yell at Jesus, not turn away from Him, not call Him names or question Him. No, she ran and fell at His feet grieving and sobbing. Humbly at His feet He met her. Jesus wept. Jesus wept the tears with her, He groaned and sobbed the same pain and from here the healing took place. He gave her the only thing that could heal her-His Comfort, His Love and His promises! “Jesus said to her, Did I not tell you and promise you that if you would believe and rely on Me, you would see the glory of God?” (John 11:40)

And one of the most profound miracles recorded happened!

Weep at the feet of Jesus...here lays the comfort, love, healing and promise of hope that with His tears will wash away grief. "Surely He has borne our grief and carried our sorrows. Isaih 53:4 "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Psalm 147:3 "Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise." Jeremiah 17:14 "He has made all things beautiful in His time." Ecclesiastes 3:11

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4

Hope for Hurting Hearts

Often people who are experiencing emotional pain have difficulty expressing their feelings in a healthy way. A common cause is buried feelings due to loss or past hurts.

Ignored or denied feelings won’t go away. They are buried alive, deep inside your soul, where they fester and create an infection that produces poison in your body.

As long as emotional pain continues to be suppressed and undealt with the symptoms will only get worse such as relationship conflict, unhealthy behaviors, depression, addictions, and all sorts of other coping mechanisms that wound the heart and separate us from self, others and God. That’s why it’s so vitality important to face your feelings.

Bring your heartache and hurts, your anxiety, your fear, and frustration to Jesus. Pour out your heart to Him and receive His comfort. He alone understands the depth of your hurt and pain. His word assures us in Isaiah that He was a man of sorrows acquainted with our grief. Hold on to the assurance found in His Holy Word…

“We do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are – yet without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. “

Hebrews 4:15-16.

Call to God and He Will Answer

No matter where you are today in your life, take a moment to reflect on what God has done for you...

Take time to meditate on the complexity of God's Perfection in His Divine Plan and how He lovingly and deliberately included you in His purpose...

That long ago before the heavens and earth were created, He formed you in His mind and intricately planned your identity and eternal inheritance.

No matter what your circumstances are today...thank Him for what He has carefully constructed, revealed, and promised to you...the greatest Gift ever unwrapped...The Mystery of Jesus Christ. .

Galatians 3:26

For you are all sons of God through faith in Jesus Christ. .

John 1:12

But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God--

There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 4:5

to redeem those under the Law, that we might receive our adoption as sons.

To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

1 Peter 1:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Hebrews 6:19

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and steadfast. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,

Romans 5:5

And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.

Called to Forgive

God cares about our relationships and wants us to be right with one another. Too often close relationships are torn apart due to hurts, misunderstandings, offenses, pride, unresolved issues, and emotions can run deep, cut at the heart filling us with bitterness, anger, and unforgiveness. And usually, it’s the relationships we treasure the most that breakdown and cause the deepest pain.

Rather than confront the issues, it may seem easier to avoid, blame others and feel justified holding on to our hurts and anger.

Yet God calls us higher. His word says that as much as depends on us to live at peace with all people (Romans 12:18).

We need to forgive those who have wounded us and ask for forgiveness when we have wounded others. We will never be free unless we learn how to forgive and release our offenders at the foot of the cross. We need only take ownership of our wrong doings and leave the rest at God’s feet endeavoring always to extend grace and leave the door open for reconciliation whenever possible.

Are you struggling with forgiveness?

Sometimes all it takes is to go to Jesus with a sincere heart and ask

Him to give you a willingness to forgive, make amends and pursue peace.

There is nothing God can’t do with a willing and surrendered heart.

Lead Me To The Rock

The Psalms are the prayers of King David during the most overwhelming times of His life. His trials and problems always brought Him to his knees before He knew when He was overwhelmed and had reached the limit of what he could endure, to cry out to the One who can bear all things and gives us rest.

We too can cry out to that same Rock – to Jesus Christ - our rock of deliverance, our rock of defense, our rock of salvation, our rock of our strength.

David cries out “Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I.” Notice our job is to cry out to God in our distress, and the job of the Holy Spirit is to lead us to Jesus.

If you are overwhelmed today, if your circumstances are more than you can bear, cry out to Jesus – to the Rock that is his higher than you and higher than your circumstances, higher than all your problems.

He will deliver you. He will bring you to a place of rest, strength, and victory.

Psalm 18:46

The LORD lives; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.

Psalm 27:5

For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.

Psalm 40:2

He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and put my feet upon a rock, and established my steps.

Psalm 62:26

He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense; I shall not be moved.

God Is For Us

Regardless of ensuing battles in both the physical and spiritual realms, we must trust God’s Divine plan. He is the Warrior of unlimited resources. He is The LORD of Hosts; the Creator and Commander of all things seen and unseen. Nothing occurring today, yesterday, nor tomorrow is a surprise to The Alpha and Omega, Who sees it all from beginning to end. Be encouraged and strengthened in this hour, Brethren.

We are already victorious conquerors through Jesus Christ! He has overcome all, and the battle of our salvation is already secured. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ. Our names are written in His eternal Book of Life, and nothing can separate Him from us.

Stand firm on Truth, keep your peace, and proclaim The Gospel in love. Pray for wisdom, discernment, and supernatural strength of endurance. Keep walking in The Holy Spirit, that The LORD your God may be glorified. And may The Lord protect and keep you, and uphold you with His righteous hand.

And never forget, God is for us!

Hebrews 13:6

So we say with confidence: "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"

Psalm 118:6

The LORD is for me; I will not fear; What can man do to me?

Matthew 12:30

He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.

Job 5:12

He thwarts the schemes of the crafty, so that their hands find no success.

John 15:18

If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first.

John 16:33

I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!"

1 Samuel 17:45

But David said to the Philistine, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD of Hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

Isaiah 41:10

'Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'

2 Chronicles 32:8

With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles." So the people were strengthened by the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

Romans 8:37

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

1 Corinthians 15:57

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!

Beauty for Ashes

Lord, I worship You. You are my Lord and King, my precious Redeemer. There is no other God like You, entirely full of goodness, grace, and mercy. -

You heal us when we are brokenhearted and bandage our wounds. You build us up when we are weak in our soul. You are great and powerful  O Lord, and You understand all things, even what is in my heart.

Thank you that I don't have to live with sadness hurt or depression. Thank you that you have put gladness in my heart. This day I put on the Garment of Praise in exchange for the spirit of heaviness, and I glorify you as Lord of all.

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,  to proclaim freedom for the captives  and release from darkness for the prisoners, to comfort all who mourn,  and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise  instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. “ Isaiah 61:1-3

“I waited patiently for the Lord, And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth—Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord.” Psalm 40:1-3

“Do you not know?  Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary,  and young men stumble and fall, but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:28-31

Redeeming Love

Has your heart been broken? Your spirit crushed? There is nothing more healing than knowing that you have a Heavenly Father who loves you unconditionally, fully accepts you and will never leave you or forsake you.

When your heart is tender to the touch and the pain seems like it will never stop, run into His arms of compassion. He will gently wipe away your tears as He heals and restores your wounded heart and fills you with His unfailing love.

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭147:3‬ ‭

God Will Complete The Work

Father God,

I pray that today and every day we will be more fully persuaded and have a renewed confidence in this truth: You are a God who completes!

Lord, You lack nothing and we know that You do not not abandon ANY work You have ordained. For, You are The All Sufficient One and You are only capable of complete perfection!

Father, thank You for beginning the work of Grace within us and for comforting us with Your Truth. You alone will see through to completion Your work in us...according to Your Will...in order to accomplish Your Perfect Plan!

Thank You, Lord, that Your Promises include for us an everlasting life. We humbly praise and thank You for the atoning sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus, so that we may dwell with You for eternity.

Father, we pray for strength of endurance as we set our eyes on Your Kingdom and we give You all the Glory!

In the name of our holy and righteous Savior, Jesus Christ,

Amen!

All Things Through Christ

Father God,

I pray that today and every day we will become more aware of who You Are...Your Grace, Sovereignty, Power, Protection, Eternal Love and Mighty Mercy...may we learn to not place limits on You and what You alone can do in us and through us in order to accomplish Your Perfect Plan.

I pray that in those moments when we are at our weakest, we will have a willing heart to receive all that You are; partner with You, and walk in Your Peace and Strength.

Remind us, Lord, of who we are in You...that we are already overcomers through the Blood of Christ...and may we become more aware every day of who we are in our true, authentic identity in You.

I praise You and thank You, Father God, for all that You Are today and every day and for Your Precious Promises and our adoption into Your Kingdom.

In Jesus Christ's Holy and Righteous Name...Amen!

Living In The Peace of God

LORD God,

I pray that today and every day Your peace will rule my heart... I ask Your forgiveness for the things I have allowed to steal my peace - envy, guilt, self-centeredness, pride, bitterness, fear, and doubt. I choose to unite with You, to put away these things, and replace them with Your Fruits of The Spirit... Father, I surrender my mind, will, emotion, and conduct to You, and pray that The Prince of Peace will reign supremely in my heart. In The Name of Jesus, I ask for deliverance and strength to resist the enemy in his desire to wreak havoc on my emotions and thought life. I pray for discernment of Your Will and Truth, and I invite You in to purify my heart and sustain me as I keep my thoughts captive in Christ...

When I feel violated, I will forgive;

When I feel envious, I will edify and bless;

When I feel bitter or resentful, I will extend love and grace;

When I feel the need to vindicate, I will show mercy;

When I am afraid, I will be faithful and trust in You;

When I am skeptical, I will cling to Your Truth;

When I feel prideful, self-centered, or a need to control, I will surrender to Your Will;

When I feel guilt or shame, I will seek Your forgiveness and remember there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.

I thank You and praise You, Father, for the comfort of Your promises and Your gift of eternal peace. I pray that today and every day I will walk in the peace I am called to and honor You in my thoughts and actions.

In The Name of Jesus, my precious and beautiful Savior, I pray these things,

Amen.

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Colossians 3:15

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

Romans 14:19

Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.

Psalm 51:10

Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Truth Is Freedom

Fear is bondage. It is a lying spirit that inhibits our ability to choose Light; it is crippling, and gives darkness dominion in our hearts. Truth is the master key that unlocks the chain of fear. The Gospel of Jesus is Truth - and the ultimate form of freedom is found in receiving this Truth. Jesus alone provides salvation and sets the prisoners free. And in The Light of Jesus exists no darkness.

Brethren, if we are to reflect God’s glory, we must stand firm on Truth, and walk in Light. We are called to live unencumbered by the yoke of fear - to take the yoke of Jesus instead, and invite Him alone to rein in our hearts.

Father, we praise You that we are no longer slaves to fear. In The Holy Name of Jesus, we rebuke and renounce the bondage of fear, and claim the Blood Covering of Jesus Christ. Lord, we declare You are our Master, and we invite You - and only You - to rule in our hearts. Father, You have told us not to be afraid, and we choose to believe Your Truth and walk in freedom! We cast our cares upon You, and claim Your peace that transcends all understanding...so that we will reflect Your Light and Glory! In The Precious Name of Jesus, our Savior and King, we pray...Amen!

Psalm 34:4

I sought the LORD, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears

And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

For you did not receive a spirit of slavery that returns you to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father!"

He executes justice for the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets the prisoners free,

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 1:7

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
