In The Image of God
There is NOTHING wrong with me. I was created in the image of God and I am who I am by His Grace.
“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.
My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.”
Psalms 139:13, 15-16 NKJV
“By You I have been upheld from birth; You are He who took me out of my mother’s womb. My praise shall be continually of You.”
Psalms 71:6 NKJV
“The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life.”
Job 33:4

A Contrite Heart
Blessed are those who mourn with Godly sorrow...who have a contrite, humble heart and revere The Word of The Lord...for, to them comes repentance that leads to salvation.
The Lord looks to them...they receive forgiveness and and are promised comfort and cleansing through the indwelling of The Holy Spirit.
They know Jesus Christ as The Savior for their sin and confidently approach The Throne of Grace without shame, fear or regret. They are reconciled unto God The Father, and their heart is filled with joy and peace; they receive rest and have a personal relationship with Jesus.
Blessed are those indeed who mourn and have repented...they are forgiven and hidden in Christ...for them there is no condemnation and they will dwell in The House of The Lord forever.
2 Corinthians 7:10
For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
Isaiah 66:2
For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

The Condition of the Heart
.
"But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
— Matthew 9:13 (NIV)
.
God desires humbleness, submission, compassion, right action, just behavior, all stemming from an authenticity — the condition of the heart.
Without heart, all that's left is sacrifice, and Jesus didn't come for sacrifice — He was the sacrifice — He came for the heart.
A person who sees their own wrong, they see that they're a sinner. If that person is you, look up and be blessed.
"For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
Your heart searches for mercy, and if you accept, God is there to give you grace.
"On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
— Mark 2:17 (NIV)

From Guilt to Grace
When we find our identity in Christ, we need to fully embrace God's marvelous grace and let go of the guilt and shame of our former self. The Lord seeks to save, redeem, restore, sanctify, transform and bless. Jesus Christ IS the cure for soul sickness. Why receive the imperishable crown of eternal life, and not live to reflect what He deems we are worth?
In His family, we are able to achieve a whole, healed identity...an enriched life blessed with freedom, peace and joy. Jesus paid a high price to provide us with an abundant and fruitful life!
Let us cling to His acceptance and forgiveness!
Let us rejoice that He deems us worthy!
And may we envelope ourselves in His grace, given freely to those who believe and receive Him.
Luke 19:10
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.
Mark 2:17
On hearing this, Jesus told them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” John 3:17
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.
John 10:10 (b)
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Luke 15:20
And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
Luke 15:32
It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.

By Faith...
Faith is not a feeling or emotion and often defies all human logic or reasoning. But, through faith, we gain understanding and Everlasting Truth.
Faith is choosing to take God at His Word....though unseen, the evidence of God and what He accomplishes through His command is all around us.
When we chose to take Him at His Word, we need to get into The Word...bring God into the situation and align our emotions with His Truth.
Having faith in Him and trusting His Truth brings an unchanging, unwavering, unlimited resource and reality into our circumstances.
When we choose to walk in faith and are obedient to The Will of God, we have created a partnership with an unmatched Leader and Lord over all, who loves us and longs for our good...who created us in His image...desires to transform us and bring us from faith to faith...from glory to glory.
Let us walk in obedient faith and be blessed by His reward for our devotion...for our Father is faithful...and a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
"The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever.” (Isaiah 40:8)
"But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you." (1 Peter 1:25)
"For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth." (Psalm 33:4)
"By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible." (Hebrews 11:3)
"By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going." (Hebrews 11:8)
"Therefore I did not even think myself worthy to come to You. But say the word, and my servant will be healed." (Luke 7:7)
"Jesus said to her, 'Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?'" (John 11:40)
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1)
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." (Hebrews 11:6)

Lord, Cleanse My Heart
Father God,
Create in us a softened, clean, healed, whole heart...
A heart that is cultivated and fertile to receive Your Word and Truth...
A heart that is filled with the full measure of Your unconditional, merciful love and grace.
Weed out and remove the things that bind us and cause us to separate ourselves from You, Lord.
Plant Your seeds in the soil of our hearts, Father, and grow our roots deep...nourish and flourish us with Your Living Waters.
And let us bear an ever-increasing yield of fruits of The Spirit, according to Your Will for us in Jesus Christ.
May we all have ears that hear and a penetrable heart, for Your Glory...
In The Name of our Holy and Righteous Savior, Jesus Christ,
Amen.
Mark 4:3-9
"Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants, so that they did not bear grain. Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times.”
Then Jesus said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”
Matthew 13:23
But the seed sown on good soil is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and produces a crop--a hundredfold, sixtyfold, or thirtyfold.

Made Well
Lord God,
I pray that today and every day You will partner with me in a thorough examination and cleansing of my heart…reveal, heal and deliver me of all the strongholds I am bound by in my life.
LORD, please expose with Your Truth and Light all the pain, fear, shame, guilt and sorrow that is hidden within dark places of my heart...all the things that prevent me from living a life of freedom, peace and joy that come from a transparent relationship with You.
Father, please show me how to come before You in faith, trust, obedience and submission...and in this exchange, please reveal to me all the lies I have received and believed in my life…partner with me in replacing my deformed belief system with Your Word and Your Truth, which is infallible and endures forever.
Teach me Your Ways, LORD, and show me how to find freedom in forgiveness of self and others…to embrace myself as a new creation …to put away the former things and live each day in the way You designed and ordained long ago...and to see myself through Your eyes, as Your precious child and joint heir with Christ in Your Kingdom of Heaven.
Show me, LORD, how to receive Your Fatherly Forgiveness, Great Grace, Limitless Love and Marvelous Mercy…lead me to bathe in the peaceful, still waters of renewal and sanctification…anoint me with Your Holy Spirit until my cup runs over.
Write a new story on my heart, LORD…one born of The Holy Spirit and guided by the power of Your redemption and restoration...please bless and comfort me with a holy wholeness of healing that is only possible through You, Jehovah-Rapha, my LORD Who Heals.
Abba Father, I praise You for all that You Are, yesterday, today and tomorrow, and pray all these things in the Name of my Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.

God Hears
Save me, O God, for the floodwaters are up to my neck. Deeper and deeper I sink into the mire; I can’t find a foothold. I am in deep water, and the floods overwhelm me. I am exhausted from crying for help; my throat is parched. My eyes are swollen with weeping, waiting for my God to help me.”
“Let all who seek God’s help be encouraged. For the LORD hears the cries of the needy.”
Psalms 69: 1-3, 32-33 (NLT)
We all go through struggles and hard times. Life is not fair. There are times of sadness, despair, and regret. The Psalmist paints a picture of someone trapped in an emotional downward spiral. Everything seems overwhelming and yet, in the end, they were able to say that there is encouragement in seeking God’s help. Why? Because God hears us. There are two types of trauma that brings the kind of despair that we read in today’s passage. There is the trauma of “not getting what we need” , and then there is the trauma of “getting something that we should have never received.” The first is the result of neglect and abandonment, the second from abuse.
But the good news is that God hears us in our despair and He can help us. Life brings each of us inescapable traumas that block maturity. God’s redemptive activity comes to us in two ways: He brings healing to our traumas, and adopts us into His family. Both ways boost us through our blocks to maturity, along the way to wholeness, With these boosts, we will be able to live from the hearts He gave us, our true identities will emerge, and our relationships with family and community will be characterized by joy.
Today, praise God for His healing. It is there for you as you bring your pain to Him. Also, praise God for His family. It is through the fellowship and love from each other that we are made whole and can experience the joy He has for us.

The Truth Will Make You Free
Nothing hurts, and nothing heals like the truth. Facing the truth is sometimes like getting a shot from the doctor. Facing the truth sometimes brings a sting, but eventually, healing will come, and we will feel better.
The truth heals us and restores us when we place our lives in the hands of God. Without placing our life in Christ’s love and grace, the truth can only hurt us, and there are even times when the truth can maim and traumatize us. However, God has organized things in such a way as to bless us and heal us when we are with Him and when we rejoice in knowing the truth.
The truth heals and restores our soul because when we live and immerse ourselves in the truth, eventually the truth will lead us to God. We are healed and restored by the truth because the truth always leads us to a place where we find comfort and love in His presence.
The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth is this…God loves us beyond our ability to fully comprehend. All the hurt, trauma, and tragedy of this life can be washed away in the truth of God’s love and grace if we are willing to be His child.
This washing away of our darkness is how the truth heals and restores us. After we are washed clean by Christ’s love, we find ourselves being wrapped up in His arms. In the washing away of our lies and deceptions, we begin to see clearly our Savior who stands by us every second of our life. We also see He wants us to join Him in Heaven after our mission on earth has been completed.

Free Will
God created us as free-moral-agents. We are free to choose eternal life or death...free to choose Fruits of The Spirit or the "forbidden fruit" we may be confronted with each day...free to choose Him.
Praise God that when we exercise our free will and choose Christ (the authentic path designed for us long ago), we experience the HIGHEST FORM OF FREEDOM!
In His love for us, Abba God not only gives us freedom of choice, but also offers a plan when we get derailed! He stretches out His arms from afar and promises forgiveness, mercy, grace, redemption, and restoration. What perfect, unblemished, unfailing love our Faithful Father offers to us...
John 8:32
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom
Romans 8:2
For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
Hebrews 4:16
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Luke 15:20-24
So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. The son said to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.” But the father said to his servants, “Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.” So they began to celebrate.

Prayer for Restoration of Inner Peace
LORD God,
I pray that today and every day Your peace will rule my heart...
I ask Your forgiveness for the things I have allowed to steal my peace - envy, guilt, self-centeredness, pride, bitterness, fear, and doubt. I choose to unite with You, to put away these things, and replace them with Your Fruits of The Spirit...
Father, I surrender my mind, will, emotion, and conduct to You, and pray that The Prince of Peace will reign supremely in my heart. In The Name of Jesus, I ask for deliverance and strength to resist the enemy in his desire to wreak havoc on my emotions and thought life. I pray for discernment of Your Will and Truth, and I invite You in to purify my heart and sustain me as I keep my thoughts captive in Christ...
When I feel violated, I will forgive;
When I feel envious, I will edify and bless;
When I feel bitter or resentful, I will extend love and grace;
When I feel the need to vindicate, I will show mercy;
When I am afraid, I will be faithful and trust in You;
When I am skeptical, I will cling to Your Truth;
When I feel prideful, self-centered, or a need to control, I will surrender to Your Will;
When I feel guilt or shame, I will seek Your forgiveness and remember there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.
I thank You and praise You, Father, for the comfort of Your promises and Your gift of eternal peace. I pray that today and every day I will walk in the peace I am called to and honor You in my thoughts and actions. .
In The Name of Jesus, my precious and beautiful Savior, I pray these things,
Amen!
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Colossians 3:15
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
Romans 14:19
Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.
Psalm 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Never Shaken!
Abba God,
I pray that today and every day You will teach us how to replace our fears with faith...
That we will cast our anxieties, fears, doubts and uncertainties upon You and allow Your Perfect Love to drive out those feelings that are not born of The Holy Spirit....that we will surrender our troubles to You, our Holy Heavenly Father, who is ALWAYS GREATER than any rejection, failure, criticism, emotion or enemy we may face today or tomorrow.
I pray that we will grow an enormous and abundant faith in You, an all-knowing, ever-present, always-loving God and walk in the confidence and sound mind that comes from knowing who You Are...that our trust in You will produce in us a faith that will motivate us to just let go of the things that hold us back, give them to you and receive peace beyond measure in our hearts and minds.
I pray that we will cling to Your Truth and Your Promises and find refuge in You when we encounter dark valleys in our days, seasons and lives...place our trust in You, our Tower of Strength, for You Are the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and You have repeatedly assured us that You are for us and will protect us.
Father, we thank You and praise You for Your Grace, Love, Mercy and Sovereign Protection in our lives! We thank You for the atoning Sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, so that we may be reconciled unto You...for our adoption and citizenship in Your Kingdom...for the security, peace and comfort that You provide in our authentic identity in Christ!
In Jesus Christ's Holy, Righteous Name...Amen!

Prayer for Strength & Refuge
Heavenly Father,
We praise You for the promise of Your refuge and the covering of Your comfort...for the promise of Your balm on the broken hearted and crushed in spirit.
Lord, we claim the victory that we are never alone, never orphans...that You have prepared a way for us to dwell with You eternally...and we pray for Your guidance and protection in our temporary dwelling place.
Lord, we praise You that You are always near, and we call upon You in truth for healing in our hearts...in our homes...in our communities...in our world.
Lead us by still waters and bless us with strength and endurance; keep us on Your ordained and anointed path of light and love...and we praise You that because of Your plan, we have purpose !
Jesus, we need You every minute of every day! We pray for Your Kingdom...for You to remove all sorrow and wipe the tears from our eyes...for the day when every knee bows to You, Almighty Father God! For You are worthy!

The Lord Is My Rock!
If you are overwhelmed today, if your circumstances are more than you can bear, be encouraged to cry out to Jesus -- to the Rock that is higher than you, and higher than all your problems.
He will deliver you. He will bring you to a place of strength and victory.
Father, many today are facing problems and situations that are beyond their understanding, beyond their capacity. I pray your Spirit will lead them this Day to Your Son, that they might find in Christ their strength, their deliverance, their health, and their peace.
In Jesus' Name, Amen!
“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”
Psalms 18:2
“And he said: “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence.”
II Samuel 22:2-3
“Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”
Psalms 62:5-8
“For who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God? It is God who arms me with strength, And makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, And sets me on my high places.”

Words Count
Have you ever blurted out the wrong words at the wrong time? Horrified, you wish you could push the rewind button and start again – but, unfortunately, the words are irretrievable.
Scripture tells us to keep watch over our tongue, and for good reason. Words have the power to create strife or peace; to build up or destroy; to bless or curse.
The old adage claims ‘words never hurt me.” That, however, couldn’t be farther from the truth. Words do hurt and can wound a heart for a lifetime. But the right words spoken at the right time have the power to heal and comfort.
Words count – so count your words!
“Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
Psalm 141:3
“There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing."
James 3:2 .
“A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."
Proverbs 15:1
“A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, and a word spoken in due season, how good it is!" Proverbs 15:23

Out of The Dark...
He has a purpose in everything...He is so Sovereign and His care reaches deep into darkness to call us out into His marvelous light!
From a new perspective we are given new eyes...instead of giving man power over the outcome of circumstances -give God praise for His sovereignty. Instead of the blame, we place on ourselves or others-can we look up and see Gods perfect plan in it all? He will allow in His sovereignty what He could stop with His power but would we learn the same lessons? Or have such great revelation of Him?
Of course, we make bad decisions, other people make decisions that hurt us, break promises, abandon us, reject us, betrayed us because we are all just broken BUT what if God allowed these things to pull us out of the darkness we did not even see we were in?
What if this was part of His perfect plan to sanctify you? Sometimes we can't see the things in the dark room around that are going to hurt us, make us fall, or even intruders because we get so comfortable in there and our eyes adjust, so in His sovereignty He lets us fall to be restored from glory to glory.
He faithfully rescues us from that darkness by shining His light on everything harmful and pulls us out...He didn't want to see us fall down but the fall brought a cry from our pain to the throne and He faithfully answered. A cry to be rescued from the darkness. Now the cries turn to praise and thanksgiving that we are in His arms alone, as He picks us up and becomes our fortified refuge! He is sanctifying us all to Himself and removing everything that could potentially hurt us...Don't blame others for their decision, don't condemn yourself for yours...instead PROCLAIM THE PRAISES OF GOD for His decision to "CALL YOU OUT OF DARKNESS INTO HIS MARVELOUS LIGHT".
