Let us fix our eyes on our one true necessity...The Good Portion...that which cannot be shaken or taken.
Let us lay our burdens at His feet and listen to the whisper of His Word, receiving His Truth deep into our hearts.
And as we lean into Him and take His yoke instead, our worries of today will dissipate and disintegrate. For His burden is light and, as we come to know Him, we will receive His rest forevermore.

God Is Bigger
What giants are you facing today?
Would it make any difference if you just stopped...got still with God...and considered that your conflict is not against flesh or things seen, but against spiritual wickedness in high places?
Would you get on your knees in obedience...align your will with His...and surrender it to The LORD of Hosts, Jehovah-Sabaoth?
Why place your faith or trust in something less than the All-seeing, All-knowing, Almighty Creator? Why take on the battle without The Lord when there is so much power in His Name alone?
Do not fear. Do not be dismayed or discouraged. Stand firm in your faith at the feet of Jesus. He is always with you and will NEVER leave or forsake you!
HE IS RULER OVER ALL principalities and powers, seen and unseen. He is bigger than any giants we will ever face. And the battle belongs to Him!

Power In Prayer
Prayer
is faith in action. It is in this act of submission that we exercise
our trust in the Father; we lean into Him for understanding and have
confidence in His plan. We pray, listen, and align our will with His.
Prayer enables us to build our relationship with The LORD. He already knows us completely and is acutely aware of every need. However, prayer is our means of fellowship with our Creator. Through it, we become more aware of His essence and of His powerful, perfect love for us. Once we know Who we are presenting our requests to, we approach The Throne of Grace with unwavering confidence.
Prayer offers confirmation and strengthens our faith. The more we come to know Him, the evidence of what He accomplishes on our behalf is no longer unseen. We begin to see His intervention and influence in every facet of our lives and find new reasons to praise Him!
Prayer changes our perspective. Through prayer, we are aligning with THE all-powerful, all-knowing, everlasting LORD over all! Though our circumstances may not change, we have peace because we move through it with the eternal Christ lens.

Called & Equipped
God does not make empty promises. If He brings you to it, He is faithful to empower and equip you to accomplish His will. His gifts are irrevocable. His Word and His promises are immutable. He equips the called and gives strength to the weary. When we lose our footing and are faithless, He is constant and always faithful. Nothing can stand against what He ordains!
LORD, we praise You and claim the victory of what You are doing in and through us, equipping us for every good work. Father, we come to You with a surrendered and willing heart...and pray for Your wisdom, guidance, and discernment. Anoint and strengthen us; bend and refine us according to Your perfect and pleasing will. We praise You that You are always our faithful Father, and that Your mercy and love is unchanging and never ending. LORD, we petition You with confidence because of Who You are, and pray You will increase our faith, as we hold resolutely to Your promises. Thank You, Father, for including us in Your plan, and for blessing us with a servant’s heart. And, let us never forget the power of The Name in which we pray!

Think On These Things

can be difficult in our humanity to rid ourselves of the clutter in our
thoughts. Circumstances and situations can evoke emotions within us
that can be difficult to cope with and lead to unholy thought processes.
It takes an active, conscious effort to partner with God in the valleys...to bring every thought captive to the obedience of Him...to think, practice and dwell on truth and that which is holy and pleasing unto God.
But, when we make the Godly choice...when we are obedient...He is faithful to bless us with His enduring peace...as we think on these things.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ...

The Author of Peace
God brings order out of chaos, even the chaos we create ourselves.
If there is conflict and confusion in your life today and you lack peace, chances are you are looking at the relationship, situation, or problem through the eyes of the world. Doing so brings about impatience, disorder, and anxiety, which can cause us to lash out unlovingly at others.
But when you shift your focus through God’s lens, His peace begins to reign in your heart. God is able to help you respond to others in love, patience, and forgiveness; thus, maintaining peace with those around you. It’s your choice – you can live in confusion or chaos, or you can live a life marked by peace.
Proverbs 16:7
When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Isaiah 26:3
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Our time of need for His grace, love and mercy is today and everyday...exactly where we are in this moment...in every struggle...in all aspects of our humanity.
So, let us draw near to Him and approach His Throne with confident faith and full assurance because of Who He is and what He has done for us.

Authentic Path
It is easy for us to get carried away in our thinking about what we want. We tend to plunge into the waters head first before first consulting with our Lifeguard...you know, the One who walks on water.
Regardless of our desires and plans, we should bring it all to the full counsel of God; present our petitions and align our emotions with His truth. We must lean into Him for understanding and ask Him to lay on our heart what His will is for our circumstances...and for our life.
When we bring Him into our decision-making, we receive the full measure of His promises. Only our Creator can lead us on our authentic and ordained path, as He is the Architect who designed it! He delights in the innermost desires of our heart and will guide us in the way that is holy, righteous and pleasing unto Him.
Praise The Lord that His plans, ways and thoughts are not like our own! He is the eternal resource with every correct answer. He is able to produce results far beyond what we can achieve alone. Complete surrender to His way is not always the path of least resistance, but we are assured peace as we progress...and to always receive what is His best for us.

Many plans are in a man's heart, But the counsel of the LORD will stand.

Redeemed
Praise The Lord that He is is alive, seated on The Throne...that He overcame the darkness and made a way for us to walk in His marvelous light.
Praise The Lord for His grace lavished so mercifully upon us...that by His precious stripes, we are rescued and restored; the salt of the earth and the lighted city on the hill.
Praise The Lord that we are justified through Him and our stain of sin is removed; that we may be sanctified and reconciled unto The Father.
Praise The Lord, for we are rescued and redeemed...and one with The Son for Eternity!

Fortress of Hope
Regardless of what you may be facing today, place your trust in the Fortress of hope, and you will not be shaken.
God is the giver and foundation of your faith. He is the author of salvation and eternal life. He commands all things seen and unseen. He provides the promise of an abundant life and desires to fulfill that for you. He has the omniscient ability to untangle the snares of adversity and part the stormy sea. He alone knows the path to peace.
He has a plan for your life, including all the seemingly impossible predicaments. Trust God. Surrender it to Him with unwavering faith. Pray without ceasing. Open your heart to receive how He may want to heal and instruct you, hone your character and strengthen your faith. God is certainly able to bring you through it with an awesome testimony of His greatness, all for His glory.
Just let your soul rest in Him, for He is the unlimited source of your help, hope, peace, comfort and strength.
And remember...at the end of the day, come what may, you have been promised eternity with Jesus.

We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.

God is the giver and foundation of your faith. He is the author of salvation and eternal life. He commands all things seen and unseen. He provides the promise of an abundant life and desires to fulfill that for you. He has the omniscient ability to untangle the snares of adversity and part the stormy sea. He alone knows the path to peace.
He has a plan for your life, including all the seemingly impossible predicaments. Trust God. Surrender it to Him with unwavering faith. Pray without ceasing. Open your heart to receive how He may want to heal and instruct you, hone your character and strengthen your faith. God is certainly able to bring you through it with an awesome testimony of His greatness, all for His glory.
Just let your soul rest in Him, for He is the unlimited source of your help, hope, peace, comfort and strength.
And remember...at the end of the day, come what may, you have been promised eternity with Jesus.

Truth and Mercy
May our hearts be softened to receive and reciprocate the truth and mercy of The Gospel of Christ.
For, when we allow this to be written in our hearts - truly receiving what He has so freely given to us - we will extend this same mercy, kindness, forgiveness, hope, help, compassion and love to others.
When we cling to and walk sincerely and diligently in His truth and love, our lamps burn bright as a beacon to God's hurting children, that they might also be led to His truth and find comfort in the arms of our Father.
It is, after all, the way of Christ...for He is steadfast in His love, grace and mercy to us us...forevermore.

Intercession
Intercessory prayers reflect the very essence of God's own character...rich in unconditional love, grace and mercy.
Praying for others enables us to look beyond ourselves and increases our empathy, concern and compassion for others.
Think about this...who do you want to spend eternity with? Are there people you care about who do not know Jesus? Are you praying for them...interceding without ceasing?
Then, consider this...love and pray for your enemies. This is truly putting on the compassion of Christ and going beyond yourself in interceding for them.
Remember, prayer is sweet smelling aroma that pleases Him (Revelation 5:8). The Father desires our prayers! Prayer strengthens our faith and increases our intimacy with Him! In it, we are reflecting and glorifying Jesus!
Let us pray with sincere hearts and without ceasing on behalf of God's hurting children...that they will have a heart change and receive Jesus...that they will share in our eternal inheritance...and experience the riches, hope, glory and everlasting grace freely given by our Abba Father!

Freedom From Fear
God's immutable Word tells that us He has not given us a spirit of fear. Walking in a state of perpetual fear is bondage; a spiritual battle only conquered through God and His truth.
Reacting to protect ourselves from eminent danger is a healthy fear response. In contrast, being a slave to fear produces crippling hopelessness, doubt and uncertainty...all strongholds of the enemy. False emotions beget a faulty belief system, which robs us of our peace and derails us from our authentic path of freedom.
As with any darkness, a spirit of fear is demolished by light and truth...and that Truth is The Word of God. We must don the Sword of The Spirit...read, believe, absorb and apply The Word. "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32)
Praise The Lord that He has called us into His marvelous light and that He is with us always!

"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Refined
It is in our greatest struggles that God has an opportunity to refine and customize us according to His purpose. When we exchange our human will for a willingness to serve Him, The Lord can do a mighty work in and through us. Oh, what The Father can accomplish with just one willing heart!
Lord, let us be the clay in Your hands...to serve as Your vessels...with humility and love. We know You don’t need us, but, Lord, we are blessed and honored to serve You and participate in Your divine plan. We praise You for Your workmanship and residence in our hearts. Show us how to surrender our weaknesses, and may Your perfect power rest on us, all for Your divine glory. In The Name of Jesus...Amen!

The Balm of Gilead
Brokenness is a heart condition. Jesus is the remedy...and His cure guarantees eternal life!
When we invite in The Great Physician to perform His spiritual surgery, we receive a heart healing that includes redemption, restoration, rest and peace...beside the still waters of everlasting love.
Won't you cry out to The Balm of Gilead? That He may bind and heal your wounded heart?
Psalm 30:2
O LORD my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me.
Psalm 107:20
He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases;

He heals the brokenhearted

A Hardened Heart
A
deep wound, a broken heart, disappointments, bitterness and
unforgiveness can cause the heart to become hardened with time. It
causes us to put up walls. Our defenses go up. We self protect and we
don’t let anyone in including God.

Self protection leaves us running on reserve and is the cause of intimacy issues and conflict in relationships. It seems that it’s easier to be hard than soft and vulnerable, because we don’t want to get hurt. But you were not created to live that way. God made you to be tender and responsive.

It’s hard to shape stone. As long as your heart remains hard you will miss out on the abundant life Jesus came to give. So let the living God come into your heart, heal your wounds and tear down your self protection and defenses.
The amplified version of Ezekiel 11:19 says “And I will give them one heart, a new heart, and I will put a new Spirit within them and I will take the stony, unnatural hardened heart out and give them a heart of flesh, sensitive and responsive to the touch of their God.”

Give your hurts to the Lord. Let God shape you. When you do that…He will leave His fingerprints all over your heart.

A Prayer for Spiritual Growth
Holy and Heavenly Father God,
Thank You, LORD, for You have blessed me with the mind of Christ and today I walk in freedom. I chose to continue to grow and live an abundant life in the full measure of Your love. Jesus, You are my greatest, truest friend. You laid down Your life for me and spilled Your Precious Blood, so I could come to know You. You are the Counselor on High and The True Physician; my Advocate, Shepherd, Rock, Living Well of Salvation, Strong Tower of Strength…and, LORD Jesus, I run to You!
Father, thank You for Your gift of forgiveness, faith, and revelation. I now know who I am, to Whom I belong, and I live with hope and purpose. My identity is sealed in Christ and I am a new creation. I am saved, loved, chosen, holy, blameless, adopted, predestined, accepted, forgiven, joint-heir with Jesus, filled with the richness of Your Grace, and the praise of Your Glory! I am a beloved child of The Living God, rooted in Truth, fed by the Living Waters. I am redeemed, and I seek only an authentic and fruitful life in Christ Jesus.
Today and every day, I choose to operate in Your Spirit of Truth, Mercy, Grace, and Wisdom. My mind is fixed on You, LORD, as You have given me eyes that see great and unsearchable things, and ears that hear the whisper of Your Holy Spirit. You promise to never separate from me and I am very confident of this: if there is a drought around me, I will not wilt; if I pass through deep waters, I will not drown; if I pass through the fire, I will not be scorched. I will not grow weary or faint, for You will sustain me and uphold me with Your righteous hand. You alone provide all that is needed to sustain my tree of life. And, LORD, I rest because I know You are always there; at the tip top of the mountain or in the deepest valley, Your love never fails!
Today I am capable of love, because You loved me first. I am the lighted city on the hill, and You are the Lamp to my feet. I have a fertile heart, pliable for Your purpose, ready to yield Your Fruits of The Spirit. Jesus, You are The Vine, I am the branches; apart from You I can produce nothing that is fruitful. So, I draw on Your Living Waters today to grow, nourish and refresh the spiritual fruits budding in the garden of my life. I praise You for cleansing my heart, for restoring my life, and for my wholeness of healing. My heart rejoices in praise for the mighty work You have begun in me! Thank You, Jesus, for the hope and heritage I have in You.

Author of Peace
God brings order out of chaos, even the chaos we create ourselves.
If there is conflict and confusion in your life today and you lack peace, chances are you are looking at the relationship, situation, or problem through the eyes of the world. Doing so brings about impatience, disorder, and anxiety, which can cause us to lash out unlovingly at others.
But when you shift your focus through God’s lens, His peace begins to reign in your heart. God is able to help you respond to others in love, patience, and forgiveness; thus, maintaining peace with those around you. It’s your choice – you can live in confusion or chaos, or you can live a life marked by peace.
Proverbs 16:7
When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Isaiah 26:3
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Full of Joy
God is not limited by our own inability to grasp Who He is and what He can accomplish in and through us. HE IS THE GREAT I AM! He has a plan and will see it through to completion. He alone is able to bless us beyond anything we can possibly conceive in our humanity.
He is an unlimited, eternal resource with infinite power and love. In Him is the fullness of joy and incomprehensible peace. In Him alone is true hope and a forever future. There is none beside Him, yet His thoughts are on us.

Great And Mightly God
What is greater...Your problems, or your God? A relationship that has parted ways, or the God who parted the Red Sea? The people cursing you and throwing stones at you, or the God who slayed a giant with a single pebble? The fiery trial you are in, or the God who, when called upon, scorched His enemies with blazing flames from Heaven?
His Word is full of revelations of His greatness, majesty, faithfulness, and omniscience. When we see even a glimpse of Him in His fullness, everything we face fades and appears oh so small. When we call on the King of kings, LORD of hosts, Alpha and the Omega, Creator of all things, Holiest of holies, and the One who has defied death, our perspective drastically changes.
Invite Him to exalt Himself in your life! Ask Him to rest His strength on your weaknesses; to display His glory and move you to awe! Get into His Word; pray for revelation of His character and essence. Love Him, praise Him, and seek to know Him intimately. Call upon Him...and experience the manifestation of His presence and power in your life!
